The history and nature this forest entails, provides inspiration to storytellers and authors. Scenes in two popular movie blockbusters, Lord of the Rings and Star Wars have been filmed here.

new Fancy View point

This viewpoint is the ideal place to watch birds of prey soar over the beautiful woodland we call our home.
With a picnic area nearby, this is a great spot to stop and take in the last of the beautiful scenery on your way back home. 

Mallards Pike

Whether you are wanting a gentle stroll around the tranquil lake, a tree-top adventure at Go Ape or just a bite to eat at the cafè, this place is perfect for all.

From mountain bikes, electric mountain bikes to road and kid bikes, this place has got it all. ‘Wye’ not hire a bike and go on your own adventure, with a network of roads and trails to take you anywhere you desire and local pubs to stop at on the way back, you will have created a very special core memory for yourself and the people you are with.

With treetop fun, train rides, and so much more, its packed full of fun for all the family. just 15 minutes from Monmouth and Lydney, Perrygrove Railway is right at your doorstep.

Old Forge Cottage

Country Cottages

This fully renovated, quaint four-bedroom town house offers the perfect getaway inside the heart of the Wye Valley. 
Sleeping up to 8 guests, this cottage gives you the perfect place to unwind with your family/friends before joining me on your chosen adventure the next day. 
Working up an appetite after your outdoor activity, you can head back to Old Forge Cottage and de-brief with a bite to eat at the local pub, unwind with an afternoon cup of tea, and walk along the riverside.

Once an old store barn, now a converted, 1 bedroom vintage style holiday cottage, situated in the peaceful village of Blakeney. The tranquil stream that runs through the small, quaint town, beautiful walks that see over the wonders of the Forest of Dean… it will be sure to take your breath away.

David and Angie have another beautiful country cottage called the Christmas Cottage, which sleeps up to 4 people. The ideal place to stay with your friends or family, where you want to take in the wonderful Forest of Dean and detox from the city life.

Humbug Barn

An exquisite, converted barn that sleeps up to 6 people makes this place a perfect retreat for your friends, whether it’s for a relaxing weekend away, or for a place to re-charge before your big adventure day out with us, this barn suits both. 

With the Forest of Dean at your doorstep, you are home to the most beautiful walks scattered across the area, with views that should not be missed!
